Linnea Swarting

Linnea Swarting is an accomplished writer and arts program coordinator with extensive experience in the dance industry. Currently serving as a writer for Dance Media Publications since March 2020, Linnea has also held the position of arts program coordinator at the Arts Council of Fayette County from June 2023 to July 2024, where responsibilities included organizing community events and supporting local artists. As a leading artist with Georgia Dance Theatre, Inc. and a teaching artist with Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts from August 2022 to July 2024, Linnea contributed to the artistic development of both organizations. Previous roles include dancer for Los Angeles Ballet, guest principal dancer for Connecticut Theater Dance Company, and a dance teacher at Nashville Ballet, where Linnea developed the Adaptive Dance: New Perspectives program. Linnea's foundation in dance was established at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and New Canaan High School.
