Martha Lavery

Martha Lavery serves as a Team Manager and Dance Company Choreographer/Dance Teacher at Applause New York since February 2020, while also being the Creator and Curator of the Stay Home Film Festival, which Martha established in November 2020 to showcase dance and movement via virtual platforms. Lavery has been actively choreographing and dancing with DanceWorks New York City since December 2015, overseeing the creative process for over 25 dancers. A freelance choreographer since May 2014, Lavery has received numerous recognitions, including awards for the dance film "Sick Boy." Moreover, Lavery has extensive experience as a dance teacher across various genres and age groups, as well as credits with multiple dance companies. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Hofstra University, along with relevant certificates in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design.
