Dan Yates is the current chairman at Dandelion Energy, a home geothermal company. Dan has also served as the owner of Spice House, LLC, and as a board member for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). In addition to their work with these companies, they have also been an investor and advisor for various startups over the past 16 years.

Yates began their career as the CEO of Opower, a position they held for 10 years. Dan then became the CEO of Edusoft, where they worked for 4 years. In 2007, they co-founded Echo Networks, a startup that lasted for one year. After Echo Networks, they took on their current role as chairman at Dandelion Energy.

Under Yates's leadership, Dandelion Energy has become the market leader in home geothermal systems. The company's vision is to electrify heat in order to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels. Dandelion Energy has been featured in various media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, CNN, FastCompany, Engadget, TechCrunch, Greentech Media, and more.

Dan Yates attended Harvard University from 1995 to 1999, where they graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a degree in Computer Science.
