Jim Nicholson

Director at Daniels Fund

Jim Nicholson has had a long and distinguished career in public service. Jim began their career as a U.S. Ambassador, serving in that role for four years. Jim then went on to chair the Federal Interagency Council on Homelessness for one year. In 2005, they became the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a position they held for two years. Jim is currently the Director at Daniels Fund. Throughout their career, Jim has been a champion for human rights, leading efforts to reduce homelessness and help those suffering from HIV-AIDS and other diseases. Jim has also been active in promoting religious freedom and fighting international terrorism. Jim’s work has earned him numerous accolades, including a knighthood from Pope John Paul II.

Jim Nicholson attended the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law, where they obtained their Master of Arts in Public Policy. Prior to that, they attended [Columbia University and obtained their Bachelor of Science degree. Jim Nicholson also attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. ]
