Karsten Rieder

Karsten Rieder serves as the CEO of Business Esbjerg since August 2015, overseeing daily operations, financial management, and stakeholder engagement within the local business promotion organization for Esbjerg and Fanø municipalities, which boasts nearly 900 members. Rieder has held various significant positions, including Erhvervschef at Danish Data Center Industry and several board roles, such as Bestyrelsesmedlem at World Energy Cities Partnership and Bestyrelsesformand at Esbjerg Sports College, which focuses on supporting young sports talents. Previous leadership roles include Directorships at Nybolig Erhverv Esbjerg, Rybners 2.0, Rybners, and Esbjerg Handelsskole, along with the position of Rektor at Erhvervsakademi Vest. Rieder's academic background includes a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Handelshøjskolen i Århus and additional studies at Scandinavian International Management Institute and University of Southern Denmark.
