Gudny Olafsdottir

Gudny Olafsdottir is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in both the music and legal sectors. As the Singer/Songwriter/CEO of Guðný since February 2009, Gudny engages in singing, recording, performing, and managing social media and marketing efforts. In the legal field, Gudny has held positions at the Danish Energy Agency since June 2020 and as a Jurist in Punktafgifter at Skattestyrelsen from October 2018 to June 2020, where responsibilities included coordinating legal implementation in the area of excise duties. Previous experiences include a legal internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark focusing on international relations in the Arctic and a role as a Social and Residential Advisor at the DIS – Danish Institute for Study Abroad. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in International Law and Legal Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen, along with a foundation degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production.
