Bjarne Andreasen

Bjarne Andreasen is an experienced professional in humanitarian and development sectors, currently serving as the Head of Region for both Africa and Eurasia at Røde Kors since November 2015. Previously, Bjarne held various leadership roles, including Head of Region for Asia and Desk Officer for Asia, overseeing project portfolios across multiple countries and managing regional strategies, partnerships, and fundraising efforts. Bjarne's experience also encompasses roles at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, where significant contributions were made as Team Leader for the Asia Programme Team, and as a Programme Manager focusing on international human rights projects, particularly in China. Additional roles include board membership at the Dalit Solidarity Network Denmark and consultancy for the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Bjarne holds master's and bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Asian Studies from prestigious universities, along with ongoing studies in Leadership at Copenhagen Business Academy.
