Christer Lænkholm is a seasoned humanitarian professional with extensive experience in disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and emergency operations. Currently serving as a Senior Humanitarian Advisor at the Danish Red Cross since December 2021, Christer manages preparedness initiatives in 16 focus countries, leads technical efforts on Disaster Risk Reduction within climate change adaptation, and oversees operational rollout of global policies. Prior to this, Christer held various roles at Folkekirkens Nødhjælp (DanChurchAid) from July 2010 to December 2021, including Senior Humanitarian Adviser, where responsibilities encompassed capacity building, program development, and engagement in humanitarian efforts across Africa and the Middle East. Earlier experience includes roles as Relief Program Manager at Christian Care in Zimbabwe and as Relief Officer and Emergency Budget Coordinator at DanChurchAid. Christer holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and a Master of Science in Transformational Economics from Prague University of Economics and Business.
