Channa Gunawardana

Channa Gunawardana serves as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC since June 2019 and is a Council Member of CIMA since June 2022. Channa has been a lecturer for TOPCIMA and Risk Management at Wisdom Business School and a Management and Leadership Consultant at Nanaska Consultants since 2007. Previous roles include CEO of Aitken Spence Garments from December 2017 to January 2020 and COO of Hirdaramani Group from January 2006 to December 2017, overseeing the Hirdaramani Knit Cluster and establishing Hirdaramani in Africa as CFO. Channa's early career included the role of Country Manager for EY in the Maldives from January 2000 to 2003. Educational credentials include a degree in Accountancy and Financial Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Fellow Memberships with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, an A-Level from Royal College, and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
