Frank Nielsen

Frank Nielsen currently serves as the Assistant Governor and Head of Banking and Markets at Danmarks Nationalbank, a role held since April 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing market operations related to monetary and foreign exchange policy. Nielsen previously held the position of Director for Banking and Markets at the same institution and was a member of the Market Operations Committee at the European Central Bank from 2006 to 2016. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Market Operations at Danmarks Nationalbank, Technical Specialist at the International Monetary Fund, and various roles within Danmarks Nationalbank beginning in 1982. Educational qualifications include studies at SDA Bocconi, HEC Paris, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Copenhagen Business School.
