Karsten Biltoft

Karsten Biltoft is the current head of financial stability at Danmarks Nationalbank. Karsten has previously worked as an administrator and economist at the OECD, and as an assistant governor and underdirector at Danmarks Nationalbank. Karsten has also been a member of Finanstilsynets bestyrelse, Det Systemiske Risikoråd, and Finansielt Sektorforum for Operationel Robusthed.

After completing an AMP at INSEAD, Karsten Biltoft pursued a Master’s Degree in Economics at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Karsten then went on to complete a second Master’s Degree in Economics at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Finally, they completed their education with a PhD in Economics at UC Santa Barbara.

Some of their coworkers include Signe Krogstrup - Head of Economics, Bent Christiansen - Head of Statistics, and Federico Ravenna - Head of Research. Their manager is Per Callesen, Governor.
