Signe Krogstrup

Signe Krogstrup is the Governor of Danmarks Nationalbank since June 2019, focusing on maintaining economic stability in Denmark through effective monetary policy and secure payment systems. Prior to this role, Signe served as Assistant Governor and Head of Economics and Monetary Policy at the International Monetary Fund from August 2016 to May 2019, and held various positions at the Swiss National Bank, including Assistant Director and Deputy Head of Monetary Policy Analysis. Signe's experience extends to advisory roles at the Federal Reserve Board and the Peterson Institute for International Economics, as well as academic positions at multiple prestigious institutions. Signe holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Geneva and an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, along with a Master's in International Relations with a focus on International Economics.
