Jens Olav Heckmann

Jens Olav Heckmann has been a dedicated musician and educator since 2007, currently serving as a 2nd Tenor at DR KoncertKoret with a contract extending until June 2031. Jens has been a church singer at Aars Kirke since November 2017, leading communal singing during services and other church activities. In the academic sphere, Jens holds the position of Principal Teacher in Classical Singing at Aalborg Kulturskole since August 2024 and has been leading choirs and teaching singing at FOF since September 2022. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Aalborg Mandskor and past positions with the Det Jyske Vokalensemble and Spil dansk dag. Jens's educational background includes a Master of Music from The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg, and further training in singing at Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy."
