Theis Thorup

Theis Thorup is an experienced audio professional with a diverse background in audio engineering, production management, and education. Currently, Theis serves as Operations Manager and Audio Production Coordinator at DR - Danmarks Radio since January 2021. In addition to this role, Theis has been an Audio Engineer and Production Manager at Monitors.dk since May 2002, touring with notable artists including Iceage and Medina. Theis also has extensive experience as a Monitor Sound Engineer for the pop duo Nik & Jay, starting in November 2006. Previous roles include Audio Engineer at VEGA - Musikkens Hus and Monitor Engineer in Charge at Roskilde Festival. Theis holds an Engineer’s Degree in Management and Manufacturing from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, complemented by experience as a temporary lecturer in audio engineering. Additional training includes an internship at Sennheiser and achieving certification as a Dive Master.
