Shane Cooney currently serves as the Research & Innovation Director for ANZ at Danone, a position held since November 2025. Prior to this role, Shane was with Saputo Inc. for eight years, where responsibilities included Head of Commercial & Technical and Head of R&D, overseeing various manufacturing sites and leading teams in product development and business strategy. Shane also contributed to the World Dairy Innovation Awards as a judge from 2022 to 2025. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at Devondale Murray Goulburn and multiple positions at Danone, including Quality Operations Manager and Validation Manager, focused on quality improvement projects and operational excellence. Shane holds a Ph.D. in Food Safety from University College Dublin and has completed the High Performance Leadership Program at IMD.
