Mikael Wraae Valsted

Mikael Wraae Valsted has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Mikael is currently a member of the Advisory Board for PROFIT at Knowledge Hub Zealand, a position they have held since June 2023. Mikael is also a member of the Advisory Board for Biosolutions 2030 at Tænketanken EUROPA since January 2023.

Prior to their current positions, Mikael was the Head of DI Bio at DI - Dansk Industri starting in September 2022. Mikael then took a break from their professional career to be a Stay-at-Home Dad from September 2020 to August 2022.

Before their time as a Stay-at-Home Dad, Mikael held the role of Public Affairs Manager at Arriva Danmark, the largest private bus and railway operator in Denmark, from June 2018 to August 2022. In this role, they were responsible for executing Public Affairs campaigns and advising executive management on driving growth within their transportation services.

Prior to Arriva Danmark, Mikael worked at Rud Pedersen Danmark, a leading Danish Public Affairs consultancy. Mikael held the positions of Public Affairs Manager from July 2016 to May 2018 and Public Affairs Consultant from August 2013 to July 2016. At Rud Pedersen, they conducted political analyses, developed and implemented Public Affairs campaigns, and managed a team of junior researchers.

In addition, Mikael has also worked as a Public Affairs Junior Consultant at Coloplast, a global medtech company, from August 2012 to August 2013. Mikael'sresponsibilities included developing external op-eds, presentations, and briefing material, as well as assisting in the development of Public Affairs campaigns.

Before their professional career, Mikael completed their Master's thesis at the Royal Danish Defence College, focusing on Danish Security Policy in the 21st century. Mikael also interned at the Trade Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in 2012, and worked as a Communications Assistant at Radius Kommunikation A/S from February 2010 to December 2011.

Mikael Wraae Valsted obtained their Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen in 2011. Mikael further pursued their education at the same institution and completed their Master of Science in Political Science in 2013. Additionally, Mikael has a certification in Power2Influence® from Power2Influence institution, although the exact obtaining date is not provided.
