Peder Søgaard-Pedersen has an extensive work experience across various industries and organizations. Peder is currently the Director for DI Life Science at The Confederation of Danish Industry, where their responsibilities include developing and improving services for member companies, advocacy, and press and communications. Peder has been with The Confederation of Danish Industry since October 2020, initially as the Head of DI Life Science.
Alongside their role at The Confederation of Danish Industry, Peder is also a member of the National Partnership for Health Data since August 2021 and a Board Member of Healthcare DENMARK since March 2021.
Prior to their current positions, Peder worked at Danske Bank as a Senior EU Affairs Manager from August 2019 to September 2020. Peder'sresponsibilities involved internal and external stakeholder management, developing and coordinating the bank's position on new EU legislation, and advocating towards relevant stakeholders. Peder'sfocus areas were capital requirements, anti-money laundering, and sustainable finance.
Before Danske Bank, Peder held the role of Senior Public Affairs Manager at LEO Pharma from June 2018 to August 2019. Peder'swork revolved around governmental affairs in Denmark and the EU, where they fostered relationships with various authorities and industry associations. Peder'sfocus areas included the development of the Danish government's Life Science growth plan, promoting Denmark as a life science nation, and supporting more clinical trials in the country.
Prior to their work at LEO Pharma, Peder held multiple roles at DI - Dansk Industri, starting as a Senior EU Policy Adviser from October 2012 to December 2015. During this time, they represented DI in Brussels on energy, climate, and environmental affairs, developed policy positions, and managed relations with sister organizations and policy makers. Peder then became the Head of Telecom & DSM Policy from January 2016 to June 2018, where they coordinated policy development and advocacy on national telecom policy and EU's Digital Single Market. Additionally, they served as the secretary for DI's telecom committee.
Peder's earlier work experience includes being the Head of Secretariat at the Association of Danish Management Consulting Firms (ADMCF) from January 2011 to October 2012, where they led PR activities and managed the daily operations of the association. Peder also worked as a Policy Adviser at the Danish Commercial Industries Federation from June 2008 to December 2010, contributing to the establishment of DI's industry association for businesses within commerce and handling PR and communication activities.

Peder Søgaard-Pedersen has a diverse education history. Peder began their academic journey at Copenhagen Business School from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, focusing on the field of Business. Peder then proceeded to Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen and completed their undergraduate studies from 2002 to 2005. During this time, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Peder continued their education at the same university and pursued a Master's degree in Political Science, which they successfully obtained from 2005 to 2008. In 2007, they also had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge by studying at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on Government & Public Administration.
