Martin Strand

Martin Strand serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Vice President at Danske Bank, overseeing core banking and asset management. Since joining in July 2019, Martin has led the modernization of payment platforms, expanded talent pools, implemented leadership programs, and enhanced IT risk management practices. Previous roles include Head of Platforms at DWS Group and IT Director at Deutsche Asset Management, where Martin managed large teams, developed strategic IT frameworks, and drove significant cost reductions. With extensive experience in IT strategy, governance, and cloud migration, Martin has been instrumental in fostering relationships with third-party vendors and promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization. Martin holds diplomas in Agile Software Development and C# from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
