Astrid Hokken has a diverse range of work experience. Astrid began their career as an intern at the Royal Danish Embassy in the Netherlands in 2007. Astrid then worked as a Commercial Advisor at the embassy, assisting Danish companies in establishing their brand and increasing exports to the Netherlands. In 2009, they joined BilligVVS as a Project Officer, where they helped launch their webshop in the Netherlands.

In 2010, Astrid worked as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator for the City of Aarhus Business, where they promoted the city to attract new businesses. Astrid also led the creation of a New Year's magazine.

From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Development Consultant at Væksthus Midtjylland / Business Development Center Central Denmark, where they streamlined and developed communication and marketing initiatives, with a focus on entrepreneurs and growth companies. Astrid also played a key role in a rebranding campaign.

Since 2014, Astrid has been at Danske Commodities, starting as a Marketing Specialist and progressing through roles such as Lead Marketing Specialist and Head of Marketing & Branding. In their current role, they head a small team and helps ensure optimal positioning of the company's brand. Astrid is responsible for collaboration with external agencies, maintaining a consistent brand experience, and leading employer branding activities. Astrid also sets targets and oversees the execution of marketing and branding projects.

Astrid Hokken attended Rønde Gymnasium from 1998 to 2001, where they completed their high school education. Later, they pursued their Master's degree in English and Media Studies at Aarhus University from 2003 to 2009.
