Charlotte Aagaard

Charlotte Aagaard is an experienced investigative journalist and educator with a diverse background in journalism, specializing in foreign affairs, defense, security, and the Middle East. Currently serving as an investigative journalist and educator at Danwatch since December 2018, Charlotte has also worked as an independent journalist, editor, consultant, speaker, and author since July 2018. Prior experience includes a role as an external lecturer at the Center for Journalism at the University of Southern Denmark, where Charlotte supervised bachelor projects and assessed admission tests. Additional positions spanned over two decades at Dagbladet Information, where Charlotte excelled in investigative journalism and narrative reporting, and earlier as a Middle East correspondent. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Journalism from Danmarks Journalisthøjskole and a diploma in editorial management from the Center for Journalistisk Efteruddannelse.
