Abu Rumi

Abu Rumi has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1999 as a Survey Engineer at the Institute of Water Modelling, they later joined Robi Axiata Limited as a Manager- HR Business Partner. Abu then worked at UniMed UniHealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as a Senior Manager-HR & OD. Abu Rumi also served as the Head Of Human Resources at Greenland Technologies Ltd(GETCO Group) and as Deputy General Manager (DGM)-HR, OD & Employer Branding at Development Design Consultants Ltd. (DDC). From 2018, they worked as a Brand Ambassador for Global Goodwill Ambassadors (GGA), focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) and humanitarian work. Abu Rumi's most recent role was as the Head of Talent Acquisition at Daraz, where they were responsible for talent acquisition, HR business partnering, compliance, and employer branding.

Abu Rumi has a diverse educational background. Abu holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management (HRM)/Marketing from the University of Dhaka. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Sc Engineering degree in Civil from the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET). Additionally, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM) from the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM).

In terms of secondary education, Abu Rumi attended Barishal BM College, where they earned their Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) in the field of Science. Before that, they completed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) at Barishal Zilla School, also specializing in Science.
