Syed Haider Hassan

Syed Haider Hassan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Syed Haider started their career as an intern at Ali Brother's Forging and later completed an internship at Brookes Pharma (Private) Limited. Following this, they worked as a Project Lead at OBS Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. In 2017, they joined Hilal Foods as an Executive Production, where they effectively managed production operations and achieved record-breaking production targets. Syed Haider also served as a Management Trainee Supply Chain at Hilal Foods, where they analyzed and reviewed supply chain procedures to fulfill sales forecasts.

Syed then moved on to The SEARLE Company Ltd. as an intern, where they gained knowledge of procuring imported raw and packaging material, conducted internal audits, and performed root cause analysis for inventory mismanagement. Syed Haider furthered their supply chain expertise at Imtiaz Super Market as a Supply Chain Planner, where they revamped the production planning process and identified slow-moving SKUs for elimination.

In 2020, Syed worked as a Project Lead at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry, focusing on potential halal food exports to the Gulf region. Syed Haider conducted extensive research, including industry leader interviews and thematic analysis, to suggest ways to increase competitiveness in the halal food sector.

Prior to their current role, Syed was associated with Airlift Technologies, first as an Operations Manager and then as a Territory Manager Operations. In these positions, they were responsible for managing P&L targets, increasing overall warehouse productivity, and creating interactive dashboards for operational improvement.

Currently, Syed is serving as the Manager Operations Excellence at Daraz.

Syed Haider Hassan completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from the Institute of Business Administration from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Industrial Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology between 2013 and 2016. In their secondary education, Syed completed their Intermediate degree in Pre-Engineering from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School in Karachi from 2010 to 2012. Syed Haider completed their high school education at Saint Jude's High School from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, Syed has obtained several certifications, including "SQL for Data Science" from the University of California, Davis in July 2022, "Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" from Google Digital Garage in October 2020, "Demand Analytics" from Rutgers University in September 2020, "Influencing People" from the University of Michigan in August 2020, "Introduction to Personal Branding" from the University of Virginia in July 2020, "Lean Manufacturing" from NED University of Engineering and Technology in October 2016, and various supply chain management certifications from Rutgers University in July 2020.
