Ushan Alwis

Ushan Alwis is a Senior Software Engineer at Daraz, where responsibilities include enhancing platform capabilities and developing software solutions to accommodate significant growth, as well as managing software development life cycles. Ushan previously contributed as a Software Engineer at Koko, a Buy Now Pay Later payment platform, and has held software engineering roles at Woodalls and Wonder Software Engineering, in addition to early experience as a PHP Web Developer at ITO Automations. Ushan's community involvement includes volunteer positions with the NSBM DevOps Community and the Free & Open Source Community at NSBM, alongside serving as Treasurer at the Thurunu Shakthi National Martial Arts and Yoga Pool in Sri Lanka. Ushan holds a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from the University of Plymouth, a Diploma in Web Development from Apply Bright College, and a Diploma in English from British Way English Academy.
