The Darien Sport Shop offers an unparalleled shopping environment with three spacious floors featuring fine designer and contemporary clothing, accessories, gifts and sporting equipment for men, women and children. The Darien Sport Shop offers unique in-store experiences and services, which include free delivery within 5 miles, on-site alternations with skilled tailors, regular fashion previews and trunk shows. In addition, a new upgraded website with robust e-commerce functionality is slated to launch in August, 2018, which will bring online shopping to our current Fairfield County customers and across the country. STORE HISTORY The store was founded in 1946, by Stephen Zangrillo ('Mr. Z') who had a dream of creating a store where every person who walked through its doors could be assured true customer service and a fantastic shopping experience. It is a mission that holds true to this day, over 70 years later, under the leadership of Gina Zangrillo, Mr. Z's daughter. The shop continues to provide this same high level of service and warm reception — the signature of a locally-owned, family-run business - and is passionately involved in a wide range of community and philanthropic endeavors.
