Mission Co-holder: 7gencities + Projects Advisor at Dark Matter Labs

Tanya Chung-Tiam-Fook, PhD, is a distinguished professional currently serving as Project Co-Lead for 7GenCities at Dark Matter Labs, focusing on transformative approaches for future city building and Earth regeneration. With extensive experience in Indigenous innovation and technology as Research & Programs Advisor at The Centre for Indigenous Innovation and Technology, during which time the organization has aimed to address the underrepresentation of Indigenous talent in the tech sector, Chung-Tiam-Fook has also been Course Director at York University since 2007, teaching various subjects in Environmental and Urban Change. Prior roles include leadership in initiatives promoting civic-Indigenous partnerships at Evergreen Canada, psychotherapeutic practice at Nature Within and participation in several impactful projects including Indigenous health and environmental sustainability. Education credentials include a PhD in Environmental Studies from York University, an MA in International Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, and a BA in Political Science from York University.
