Rebecca Fitzgibbon is an experienced media professional with expertise in arts and culture. Since September 2017, Rebecca has served as the Media Manager at DarkLab. Prior to this role, Rebecca was a Member of the Board of Directors at Contemporary Art Tasmania from October 2016 to May 2023. Additionally, Rebecca worked as the Events Media Manager at the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) from October 2012 to September 2017. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Columnist for Mercury newspaper between November 2005 and December 2013, and as a Section Editor for Warp Magazine from February 2011 to May 2013. Rebecca's journalism career began with freelance writing from 1999 to December 2012. Educational background includes studies at the University of Tasmania.

DarkLab was founded in 2016 by David Walsh, the owner of the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), with Creative Director Leigh Carmichael. In addition to producing the Dark Mofo festival each year, we work with a range of collaborators on cultural and commercial developments in Australia and internationally, and operate a number of venues in the Hobart CBD.
