Kyle Sivertsen, P. Eng.

Kyle Sivertsen, P. Eng. has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Kyle is currently working as a Software Engineering Manager at DarkVision Technologies Inc. since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Tantalus Systems for a significant period of time. At Tantalus Systems, they held various roles including Team Lead, Firmware from May 2019 to April 2023, Senior Firmware Engineer from September 2017 to May 2019, and Firmware Engineer - Technical Lead from February 2013 to September 2017. In these roles, they were responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of firmware and software for fixed-wireless communication systems. Kyle also provided field support and collaborated with customers and internal teams. Before joining Tantalus Systems, Kyle worked as a Software Engineer at the University of British Columbia where they gained research and teaching experience as a Graduate Student, Teacher's Assistant, and Undergraduate Student Research Assistant from 2007 to 2010.

Kyle Sivertsen, P. Eng., has an extensive education history in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Kyle started their academic journey in 2003 at the University of the Fraser Valley, where they completed a Transfer Program in Engineering. In 2004, they transferred to The University of British Columbia and pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which they successfully obtained in 2007.

Their passion for the field led him to continue their education at The University of British Columbia, where they pursued a Master of Applied Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2007 to 2010. Recognizing the importance of further specialization, they then pursued a second Master of Applied Science degree in the same field at the same university from 2012 to 2013.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Kyle has obtained multiple certifications to enhance their professional skills. In August 2018, they earned the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org. Kyle also obtained the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification during the same period. Furthermore, in October 2019, they attained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance.
