Sayan Roy is a DARPA Innovation Fellow who focuses on nanoelectronics, semiconductor devices, and quantum materials. They conducted research on 2-dimensional Transition Metal Di-Chalcogenides (TMDCs) for ultra-thin photovoltaic applications during their tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Purdue University from 2017 to 2021. Sayan's work includes exploring advanced techniques to enhance the efficiency of solar cells and investigating Tungsten-based TMDCs for Space Photovoltaics. Currently, they pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, while continuing to work on Quantum Materials and Devices based on TMDCs and related 2D materials.
