David Gibson

Dave Gibson is an experienced executive with a strong background in the zoo and aquarium sector, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Dartmoor Zoological Society since February 2024. Gibson previously owned and directed Tellus Landscaping, offering comprehensive landscaping services in Devon and Cornwall. With nearly 25 years in consulting for aquariums and zoos, Gibson has worked with major UK public aquariums and held various leadership roles, including Executive Director of a Wildlife Park. Additional contributions include being a trustee for The Seahorse Trust, managing director of Relocate South West Ltd, and involvement in the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Gibson holds a PhD in Fish Diseases from the University of Stirling and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Glasgow.
