Shannon Soucy

Shannon Soucy, Ph.D., is the Director of the Genomic Data Science Core at Dartmouth College, a position held since February 2020. Previously, Shannon served as the NH-INBRE Principal Investigator at the Community College System of New Hampshire from May 2018 to May 2020, mentoring student researchers in the field of viral genetics. An adjunct instructor at River Valley Community College from January 2018 to February 2020, Shannon taught courses in Introductory Biology, Genetics, and Microbiology. Prior academic experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at Dartmouth College focused on microbial genome elements and a visiting scholarship at the University of British Columbia. Shannon's doctoral research at the University of Connecticut addressed the molecular epidemiology of genetic parasites, following a graduate study in soil bacteria metabolism at Central Connecticut State University.
