William Nisen

Program Director at Dartmouth College

William Nisen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program direction and leadership in various sectors. Currently serving as Program Director at Dartmouth College since January 2021, Nisen previously held the role of Associate Director at the Institute for Security, Technology, and Society at Dartmouth College from April 2014 to January 2021. In addition, Nisen has been the Director of Hybrid State since 2007, an organization focused on facilitating innovation and collaboration across diverse sectors. Nisen also contributed to The Upper Valley Haven as Vice President and Chair of the Operations Committee from February 2009 to January 2021, supporting vulnerable populations. Nisen founded and served as Executive Director of the Kelvin Institute, which aimed to enhance the commercialization of research in Scotland from September 2001 to November 2004. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Geography and Epidemiology from McGill University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Geography and Pre-Med from Dartmouth College.
