DARTS mission is creating connections that enrich aging. Our vision is to be a respected leader in providing equitable solutions that reflect diverse community needs and create a fulfilling aging journey. DARTS has served older adults and their families in and around Dakota County for more than 40 years. We provide services and supports to help people age well in the home of their choice. We are a recognized resource for aging and caregiver topics. Our work is supported with a blend of program fees, corporate sponsorship and individual contributions. DARTS gives voice to aging and intergenerational communities. We provide education sessions for employers on how to support and adapt for an aging workforce. We provide any groups practical educational sessions on aging topics like dementia, senior housing options and work life balance. Established in 1974, DARTS supports older adults’ independence through information, resources, and practical household help; provides mobility through accessible ride services; supports those caring for older adults with resources, coaching, and education on aging; engages all ages in volunteerism; and builds community connections through innovative partnerships.
