Elena Taboada began their work experience in 2009 as a Post-doctoral researcher at the INSTITUT DE CIÈNCIA DE MATERIALS DE BARCELONA (ICMAB-CSIC), where they worked until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Post-doctoral researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2013, Elena joined das-Nano, where they initially worked as a Nanotechnology Lab Manager until 2018. From September 2018 onwards, they transitioned into the role of Project Manager of the Terahertz Technology Department at das-Nano.
Elena Taboada completed their education journey by earning a PhD in Materials Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2003, they pursued a Degree in Chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
