Keith Hughes is currently the Chairman at Data Center Inc. Prior to that, they were a Staff Software Engineer at Google for 8 years. While at Google, Keith founded the Google Experience Center Program which provides an interactive experience to learn about Google technologies and has centers worldwide. The program grew from 1 person to a team of over 20 under Keith's leadership. Keith also championed support and maintenance model, and designed system infrastructure. Keith did initial development of a system called Interactive Spaces for controlling an interactive physical space using sensors, hardware control protocols, web technologies. Keith was the Lead Engineer of the Experience Engineering team that extended Interactive Spaces, wrote exhibits, and provided engineering support for the centers.
Keith was also part of the structured data group in Search Features where they worked on C++, distributed computation, natural language processing, machine learning, and knowledge mining. Keith was co-Tech Lead and co-architect on the Doubleclick for Publishers Display advertising frontend, Java web applications. In addition to their engineering work, Keith organized a group of Google employees to volunteer for FIRST Robotics mentoring. Keith also spent 2 years on the Engineering Hiring Committee, evaluating interview packets after the Eng interviews.
Keith Hughes has a MS in Physics from University of Washington and a MS in Computer Science from Syracuse University. Keith also has a BS in Engineering and Applied Science from Caltech.
