Flo Thinh Chialtas

With more than 20 years at fast-growing tech companies, Flo is dedicated to providing founders and executives with the tools, methods, and guidance necessary to drive the best outcomes in their organizations. Flo brings operational expertise to DCVC where she leverages her diverse experiences aligning people and business strategies to guide the portfolio companies through their talent needs.

Prior to DCVC, Flo was the VP of People at NerdWallet where she built the recruiting, HR & workplace operations teams from the ground up, helping grow the company from 40 to over 450 employees. With her focus on talent and the employee experience, NerdWallet went on to receive more than a dozen accolades during her tenure, including “Best Places to Work” by the San Francisco Business Times in 2017. Before NerdWallet, Flo was an Operating Partner at Khosla Ventures guiding founders and executives through their talent strategy. Flo was Director of Talent Acquisition and an early member of the team at Zynga, where she was responsible for building and leading Zynga’s recruiting function at a time of explosive growth, successfully hiring over 3,500 employees in 3 years.

Flo is a Bay Area native who received a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz. She resides in San Francisco with her husband and their three daughters.
