Jakob Harbo is an experienced professional in the humanitarian sector, currently serving as the Country Manager for Ukraine and the Head of Global Partnerships at the Danish Red Cross since September 2014. With a strong background in international support, Jakob manages technical assistance, advocacy, and fundraising initiatives for Danish Red Cross programs. Prior to this, Jakob held multiple roles at Save the Children Denmark, including Regional Programme Manager for the ECHO programme related to the Syria crisis and Partnership Manager in Brussels. Jakob's career also includes significant experience at DanChurchAid, where responsibilities encompassed global funding and humanitarian programming in various countries, including India, Bangladesh, and Angola. Jakob holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.

Data Friendly Space (DFS) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization based in the United States with a presence in Switzerland, Germany and Nepal. DFS’ guiding principle is to improve information management and analysis capacity, tools and processes in the humanitarian and development community to enable better informed and more targeted assistance. DFS focuses on creation of data centric web applications, websites and mobile applications to support humanitarian organizations in extracting actionable insights from their data and execute their missions. In addition to software development and cybersecurity services, DFS also provides a range of analytical services focused on strengthening data collection and analysis capacities in humanitarian emergencies. DFS also focuses on the intersection between data automation processes powered by Artificial Intelligence and human knowledge, and in particular when one can help the other to execute analysis. We have been working with numerous IGOs and international organiaztions based in Geneva, such as the UN (and its various bodies, UNHCR, OHCHR, UNEP, UNFPA), IFRC, DFID, JIPS and IDMC. DFS team is composed of experts from the humanitarian information management and analysis field who specialize in real time secondary data review and development of humanitarian apps that support timely extraction of information from large volumes of unstructured data. DFS staff is closely linked to the DEEP initiative (thedeep.io) and part of the benefits from DFS contracts directly contribute to the maintenance and further development of DEEP.
