Michael Waite

Michael Waite is an experienced leader in the field of data and systems engineering, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Data Sagacity since February 2025, where the focus is on transforming complex data into actionable insights. Previously, Michael held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Fertilis and served as Chief Executive Officer of Shoal Group Pty Ltd from June 2009 to April 2022, leading the company with a commitment to values and culture across technology-intensive sectors. Michael has extensive experience in systems engineering, having worked in various roles including Chief Operating Officer, Senior Systems Engineer, Programs Manager, and Systems Engineer at Shoal. Additionally, Michael was co-chair of the Model-Based Conceptual Design Working Group at INCOSE and worked as a Calibration Engineer at both Ford Motor Company and Perkins Engines. Michael holds an Executive Program certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, an Executive Masters in Complex Project Management from QUT, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from the University of Adelaide.
