Dave Emerson

Dave Emerson is the Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Australia since June 2021, bringing extensive experience in the airline industry. Prior to this role, Emerson served as a Senior Partner at Bain & Company from March 2017 to June 2021, where leadership of the global Airline Practice involved advising major players on strategic and operational matters. Emerson also owned and operated AA Applicators, Inc. from September 2012 to March 2017, and held the position of Director at Bain & Company, leading the Global Airline Practice from September 1995 to September 2012. Earlier in career, Emerson worked as a Manager of Revenue Management at America West Airlines. Educational credentials include an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Strategy and Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Stanford University.
