Phillip Kim is an Undergraduate Researcher at Berkeley Lab, focusing on Time Series Models for Cache Utilization, and at the University of California, San Francisco, specializing in Deep Learning in Brain-Computer Interfaces. Additionally, Phillip serves as a Data Consultant for the Data Science Society at Berkeley, working on client projects for renowned companies such as Mattel and Conagra Brands, and holds the position of Project Manager at 180 Degrees Consulting with clients including Rio Tinto and Kohler Co. Phillip gained experience as a Business Analyst Intern at NVIDIA with a focus on GPU Memory and previously interned in data science at Glyph Studios Inc. Phillip's early career also includes service as a Sergeant in the Republic of Korea Army's Capital Defense Command Engineering Unit. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, Phillip has a solid educational background complemented by the International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International School Manila.

Founded in early 2016, Data Science Society at Berkeley is UC Berkeley’s first undergraduate student organization focused on Data Science and one of the pioneers of the Data Science major at Cal. We are a group of undergraduate students at UC Berkeley focused on helping promote Data Science on campus, via educational and consulting initiatives. Established on the pillars of education, professional development, and community, Data Science Society has a long-standing record of helping students build their Data Science skills through learning opportunities and cultivating an academic environment by connecting students with industry leaders and researchers.
