Saiyra Qureshi is currently a Machine Learning/AI Intern at Redhorse Corporation, where an AI learning tool was engineered using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to facilitate user training on document content. Additionally, Saiyra serves as a Consultant for the Data Science Society at Berkeley and has held positions as a Researcher at Goodly Labs, focusing on biases in news sources, and as a Consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, working on code generating LLMs to simulate infectious diseases. Experience as a Data Analyst at Futures Without Violence involved assessing the economic impact of Intimate Partner Violence on businesses, while a prior role as a Campaign Manager for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society successfully raised $25,000 for blood cancer research. Saiyra also worked as a Supervisor at Noah's New York Bagels. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science at the University of California, Berkeley, graduation is expected in May 2025.

Founded in early 2016, Data Science Society at Berkeley is UC Berkeley’s first undergraduate student organization focused on Data Science and one of the pioneers of the Data Science major at Cal. We are a group of undergraduate students at UC Berkeley focused on helping promote Data Science on campus, via educational and consulting initiatives. Established on the pillars of education, professional development, and community, Data Science Society has a long-standing record of helping students build their Data Science skills through learning opportunities and cultivating an academic environment by connecting students with industry leaders and researchers.
