Colt Kesselring has held various roles in the fields of software engineering, consulting, media, fitness, and marketing since 2010. In 2010, they were a writer for The Florence Newspaper, where they developed story ideas, researched them, interviewed subjects, translated documents, and saw articles through to completion on tight deadlines. In 2011, they were a marketing intern at Genesis Marketing, where they created reference sheets, designed logos and advertisements, proofed ads, coordinated with sponsors, and organized events. In 2012, they were a marketing intern at DRY Soda, where they authored blog entries, engaged consumers through social media platforms, and worked in the front end of the store. In 2013, they became a personal trainer at Gold's Gym, where they studied anatomy, physiology, nutrition, sales strategy, and human nature. In 2014, they were the managing editor at HERO Sports, where they led the content team and directed 20+ staff writers and freelancers to produce nearly 1,000 pieces of original content per month. In 2017, they were a consultant at Mosaic, where they developed custom training solutions tailored to the needs of diverse clientele with multiple internal and external audiences. Finally, in 2019, they became a software engineer for Data Skrive.
Colt Kesselring obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism from Gonzaga University between 2008 and 2012. Colt also obtained a minor in Advertising during this same time. Additionally, Kesselring has obtained several certifications, including Programming with Python from Codecademy in October 2018, SQL Fundamentals from SoloLearn in September 2018, Learning Python with PyCharm from Lynda.com in August 2018, Programming Foundations: Data Structures from Lynda.com in August 2018, and Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate from Databricks in June 2022. Colt is also currently working on a Python 3 Tutorial from SoloLearn.
