Irene Chung

Project Manager, Strategy and Digital Infrastructure at Data & Society Research Institute

Irene Chung has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Super Useful Human at Super Useful Human, where they created systems for internal management, managed scheduling, budgeting, payroll, and other operational tasks, and designed material for marketing and publicity. During the same time period, they were also an Intern at The Clinic Technical Assistance Center, where they created a clear and visually pleasing system of prioritizing team goals and tasks, aided in bridging rigorous research and social work practices, and maintained the organization's website and implemented Google Analytics. Additionally, from 2013 to 2015, they were a Shift Manager, Gelataia at Amorino, where they provided support and direction to fellow co-workers, trained new employees, re-organized and managed basement storage, and sculpted beautiful gelato flowers. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Project Manager, Strategy and Digital Infrastructure, Operations Associate, Operations Assistant, and Executive Assistant to the President at the Data & Society Research Institute. Finally, since 2019, they have been a Co-Founder at O-N.

Irene Chung attended Fordham University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Anthropology and Psychology. Irene also attended Cornell University in 2010 for a Summer Program in Cognitive Science. Prior to that, they attended Wells College from 2009 to 2010, and University of California, Los Angeles Extension from 2006 to 2009.
