John Somplasky, CSSMBB, has an extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. John worked at DSA as the Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President, Quality and Performance Excellence, responsible for managing information security and ensuring compliance with ISO and NIST standards. At Aphinia, they served as a Member. At Lockheed Martin, they held several positions, including Director of Performance Excellence and Senior Program Manager, overseeing large portfolios and troubled programs. John also worked at First Consulting Group as the Director of Life Sciences Staffing Services and held various roles as a Project Delivery Manager, Business Development Manager, and Client Services Director. In their early career, they served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer, gaining experience in submarine tactics and leadership.

John Somplasky, CSSMBB, holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree at the United States Naval Academy. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained the certification of Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt™ from the International Six Sigma Institute™ in March 2017.
