Sayali Nimkar has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and research. Sayali is currently working at Datavalet as a Network Engineer since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at SecurEdge Networks from January 2016 to August 2021 in the same role.
Before starting their career in network engineering, Sayali worked at UNC Charlotte from January 2013 to December 2014. Sayali held multiple roles during their time at UNC Charlotte, including Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant. As a Graduate Research Assistant, their responsibilities included designing and developing software code to optimize energy consumption in wireless sensor nodes, implementing a game theoretic approach for decision making, and conducting simulations to improve network and battery lifetime. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, they taught and provided revision lectures on topics related to basic electrical engineering.
Sayali Nimkar earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Mumbai, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Sayali then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2012 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Sayali Nimkar obtained several certifications, including the Brocade Certified Network Engineer certification from Brocade in February 2016, the Certified Wireless Technology Specialist certification from CWNP in February 2016, the Aruba Certified Mobility Professional certification from Aruba (a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company) in April 2016, and the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco in September 2015.
