Ryan van der Wielen

Ryan van der Wielen is a Senior Infrastructure Engineer and Solution Architect at Databarracks, specializing in the design and implementation of high availability and disaster recovery environments for multinational corporates since May 2012. Previously, Ryan served as a Senior Operations Engineer at NHS Blood and Transplant, managing the Operations team and leading the design and implementation of a Backup and Recovery system. Ryan's career also includes experience as a Backup Consultant at DCG Group, where design and management of disaster recovery environments were key responsibilities, and as an Operations Engineer at NHS Blood and Transplant, focusing on IT service delivery. Ryan holds a B.Com (Hons) in Information Systems and Financial Accounting from the University of Cape Town.
