Paavo Räisänen

Paavo Räisänen is a seasoned professional in the venture capital and technology sectors, currently serving as a Partner at Maki.vc since January 2018, where the focus is on seed-stage investments in deep tech and brand-driven companies. In addition, Paavo holds multiple leadership positions, including Investment Director and Chairperson at Strise, which specializes in AI-driven Anti-Money Laundering solutions, and various board roles at innovative firms such as Onego Bio, Zevoy, Volare Solutions, and EverDye, among others. With an educational background in technology from Aalto University, culminating in a Master of Science with distinction and a Bachelor of Science with honours, Paavo brings a wealth of expertise in guiding companies that address significant challenges across deep tech, fintech, and sustainability domains.
