Stephanie Fernald King has a diverse work experience in various roles related to user experience research and design. Stephanie is currently working as the Lead User Experience Researcher + Product Operations at DataGrail since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Design Leadership Forum as a Design Leadership Forum member starting from February 2019. Stephanie also took a sabbatical from November 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining DataGrail, Stephanie worked at Pendo.io as the Lead User Experience Researcher from September 2021 to November 2021. In this role, they established a qualitative and quantitative UX research practice in a new product space, conducted generative research to define product opportunities, launched a user research panel, and established a rolling research practice.

Prior to Pendo.io, Stephanie was a UX Research Manager at SalesLoft from February 2020 to September 2021. Stephanie managed and coached a team of UX researchers, collaborated with executive leadership and product line leaders to prioritize research opportunities, trained product and engineering partners on design thinking and best practices, and managed the customer feedback library.

Stephanie has also worked as a UX Lead at DISTILLIO from November 2017 to October 2018. Stephanie worked as a UX Designer at The Home Depot from July 2016 to November 2017, where they co-designed an enterprise desktop application and conducted qualitative and quantitative research.

Additionally, Stephanie has worked as a Freelance UX Designer at Open Hand Atlanta from April 2016 to July 2016, where they focused on increasing involvement of volunteers, donors, and millennials for a non-profit organization. Stephanie also participated in a 10-week User Experience Designer program at General Assembly from March 2016 to July 2016, gaining training and practical experience in various UX disciplines.

Stephanie's earliest work experience was as an Artist Assistant at Lauren Peterson Artworks from September 2014 to January 2016, where they designed Ms. Peterson's website documenting their art installation and performance pieces.

Stephanie Fernald King began their academic journey by pursuing coursework in Cognitive Psychology at Harvard Extension School from 2009 to 2011. Subsequently, they attended Georgia State University, where they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art & Psychology between 2011 and 2015. In 2016, Stephanie briefly attended General Assembly to study User Experience Design. Prior to higher education, Stephanie attended Woodward Academy from 2000 to 2008, completing their High School education.
