Sergio Fogel

Sergio Fogel began their career in 1990 as a Research Staff Member at IBM Haifa Research Lab, where they conducted research and development in Chip design and verification, VLSI field, and gained extensive experience in software development. In 1994, they became Sales Manager at Oracle Argentina. In 2001, they became Owner of Uniotel. In 2008, they were a Professor of Digital Disruptions at ORT Uruguay. In 2009, they became Co-Founder of AstroPay LLP and Founder and Organizer of Punta Tech Meetup, the largest gathering of tech entrepreneurs, executives, VCs and investors of Latin America, organized with Riverwood Capital. In 2016, they became a Co-Founder of dLocal, a technology company and the #1 payments leader with a single solution, focused on Latin America and other emerging markets, and an Official Member of Forbes Finance Council. Finally, in 2021, they became Co-Founder of Datanomik.

Sergio Fogel's education history includes completing an MBA at INSEAD in 1994, an MSc in Computer Science at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 1987 and 1990, a BA in Computer Science at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 1984 and 1987, a course in Engineering at Universidad de la República in 1983, and a course in Community Leadership at HaMachon LeMadrichim in 1982. Sergio also attended ORT.
