Melanie Urdangarin Gamarra has a diverse range of work experience in various fields. Melanie started their career as a Scientific Initiation Fellow at the Araucaria Foundation in 2013, where they worked until October 2015. From there, they went on to intern as an Energy Engineering Intern at the ITAIPU Hydroelectric Dam from March 2017 to September 2017. Melanie then joined the Western Parana State University (UNIOESTE) as a Researcher for the Master’s Degree Program in Energy Engineering from March 2018 to February 2020. In 2020, they joined the SENAI Artificial Intelligence HUB as a Data Scientist Resident, a position they held until July 2021. Subsequently, they worked as a Machine Learning and Computer Vision developer at the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Embedded Systems (ISI-SE) from August 2021 to May 2022. Currently, Melanie works as a Data Scientist at Datarisk, a position they began in January 2023.
Melanie Urdangarin Gamarra started their education history in 2009, where they attended High School No. 1 in Maldonado, Uruguay, and graduated with a high school diploma in Engineering in 2011.
After completing high school, Melanie pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Energy Engineering at Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA) from 2012 to 2017.
Following their bachelor's degree, Melanie furthered their studies at Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Energy Engineering from 2018 to 2020.
In terms of additional certifications, Melanie obtained a TOEFL ITP certificate from ETS in October 2018, showcasing their proficiency in the English language.
Furthermore, they also received a certification in Proficiency in Portuguese as a Foreign Language (Celpe-Bras) from the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP) in 2016.
