Lode Nachtergaele

Lode Nachtergaele started their career in 1989 as a Scientific Researcher at IMEC. Lode later became a Project Manager for Multimedia before moving on to VRT, where they worked as an Intrapreneur. In 2012, they joined Iminds Media as a Creative Research Engineer. Lode then transitioned to Colruyt Group in 2016, where they held roles as a Data Scientist and eventually became a Senior Data Scientist. Lode'smost recent position is as a Machine Learning Engineer at dataroots, which they started in November 2021.

Lode Nachtergaele obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Electronics from Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge-Oostende. Lode attended this institution from 1985 to 1989. Prior to that, they pursued Informatics at Vrij Technisch Instituut Kortrijk from 1979 to 1982, earning an A2 qualification.

In addition to their formal education, Lode Nachtergaele has obtained several certifications. In December 2022, they completed courses such as "Applied Machine Learning: Feature Engineering", "Data Engineering Foundations", "Dieter Rams: Principles of Good Design", "Exam Tips: Designing and Implementing a Data Science Solution on Azure (DP-100)", "Machine Learning and AI Foundations: Causal Inference and Modeling", and "Transformers: Text Classification for NLP Using BERT". In November 2022, they completed the course "Learning JAX" and "Machine Learning with Python: Logistic Regression". These certifications were obtained through LinkedIn.
